Calligraphy Guild Pittsburgh welcomes all who are interested in calligraphy and the lettering arts.

Our membership year begins September 1 and ends  August 31.

Dues are $35 per year for New Members. When enrolling as a new member, you will be charged $25 plus $10 for a total of $35. The new membership fee covers administration fees, access to two free video classes: The Complete Beginners Intro to Broad-Edge Calligraphy and the Complete Beginners Intro to Pointed Pen Calligraphy.  Members who are joining for the first time will also receive a welcome packet full of calligraphy goodies to help you progress as a calligrapher.

Renewal of membership each year thereafter is $25. 

We do not  prorate dues.

Members receive all the benefits of membership including members' pricing on workshops, attendance at free play days, and access the the Members Only section of our website - lots of information and links to recommended calligraphy supplies, resources, and guild videos.

New members: Please complete the sign-up information to the best of your ability. You will receive confirmation email and soon after you'll receive a new member packet in the mail. Dues for new members are $25 per year.

Complete Beginners Intro to Broad-Edge Calligraphy and Complete Beginners Intro to Pointed Pen Calligraphy presented by our guild president, Karen Nordstrom Roberts. The videos cover all the basics for complete beginners: supplies including the recommended nibs, inks, and paper plus basic techniques and calligraphy principals for two of the major styles of calligraphy. This is a great way to start your calligraphy journey or dive into a quick refresher course. CLICK HERE to see  a description of the major calligraphy styles.

Current and Lapsed members: To renew your membership, go to your Member Profile (go to your name on the top, right-hand area of the website then select View Profile), then click on the renewal link. Dues for renewing members are $25 per year if membership is renewed before the end of the 30-day grace period (September 30).
