Calligraphy Guild Pittsburgh holds several types of events: workshops, meetings, classes, playdays, and exhibits.

EVENT POLICIES

  • Registration typically opens 6 weeks prior to the event. The registration deadline typically is 7 days prior to the workshop.
  • A confirmation email is sent upon successful registration in an event. The confirmation will include a Supply List.
  • Handouts for workshops and Zoom link(s) will be provided approximately 5 days prior to the event. In most cases, the handouts will be provided by the instructor at the beginning of an in-person class. 
  • Spots in the event are filled as payments are received. No spot will be confirmed until payment is received.
  • Payments that are sent through the mail must be received 10 days prior to the event to hold a spot if there is a waitlist. You will receive a reminder before your spot is cancelled. 
  • Cancellation Policy: Please understand the guild makes financial commitments to our instructors for teaching fees, supplies, and travel expenses which are not refundable. For fairness to all parties involved, the guild has set the following refund policy. For a full refund, a registrant must cancel 12 days in advance of a paid event. If a registrant cancels less than 12 days in advance of an event the refund will be 100% if there are 14 or more registrants. If a registrant cancels 5 days or less before the event and has already received the handouts (as is usually the case for online classes), the refund will be 50%, provided the event has 14 or more attendees.  Registrants should email Lily Hoy [scribelypgh@gmail.com] regarding cancellation inquiries.
